About the Festival

Badagry International Film, Cultural & Sports Festival

BIFIF is West Africa's most ambitious celebration of cinema, culture, tourism, and creative industry — held annually in the historic coastal town of Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria.

December 14–20, 2026
Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
4th Edition

Our Story

Founded in 2023, BIFIF was born from a belief that Badagry — a town of profound historical significance at the intersection of African, Atlantic, and colonial histories — deserved to be a global creative hub.

Across three editions, the festival has brought together filmmakers, artists, cultural leaders, tourists, and industry professionals from across Africa and around the world. The stories told here are rooted in African soil but speak to the universal human experience.

BIFIF is not just a festival. It is a platform, a community, and a declaration that African stories deserve to be seen, celebrated, and distributed globally.
